Verdicchio Dei Castelli Di Jesi DOC Riserva Lauro - Podere Mattioli is a Marchigian enological jewel, born from Verdicchio grapes grown in the hills surrounding Jesi, the historic land of this native grape variety. This Verdicchio stands out for its rich and complex structure, the result of a careful selection of the best grapes and prolonged aging, which may include passes in steel and wooden barrels, enhancing a refined balance between freshness and softness.

Visually, it shows a bright straw yellow color, while on the nose it offers intense aromas of white flowers, aromatic herbs, and a delicate mineral note. The palate is enveloping, savory, with a long and harmonious finish, fully expressing the territory of the Castelli di Jesi. Excellent paired with flavorful fish dishes, white meats, and aged cheeses, this Verdicchio represents a perfect expression of Marchigian tradition and elegance.

Winery history
Public records indicate the estate is a family-run business in the Serra de' Conti area. Originally the property grew and sold grapes and grains; management passed to brothers Giordano and Giacomo Mattioli, who began producing wine themselves in the 2000s, with 2006 noted as the year they first commercialized bottles. Since then the winery has developed labels such as "Ylice" and "Lauro" and has established a modern winemaking facility set among the vineyards.
Production philosophy
The winery places strong emphasis on its connection to the territory and on the quality of its grapes: precise vineyard management, agronomic choices oriented toward sustainability, and cellar practices aimed at preserving the freshness and character of Verdicchio. The range includes both the classic expression of Verdicchio and a traditional-method sparkling wine made from Verdicchio and Chardonnay.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards are located in the municipality of Serra de' Conti, in the heart of the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi area. Commercial descriptions note the presence of varied soils within the same territory—sandier to the east and more clay-rich to the west—which are exploited to produce wines with complementary profiles.
