The Vespolina Rosso Colline Novaresi DOC of La Mostella, produced by the Torraccia farm, represents a splendid expression of the lesser-known but highly charming enological Piedmont. Grown in the sunny vineyards of the Colline Novaresi, this wine enhances the indigenous Vespolina grape variety, which gives the glass liveliness and an elegant structure.

Of a bright ruby red color, it presents intense scents of ripe red fruits on the nose, such as cherry and raspberry, accompanied by delicate spicy notes and a slight floral hint. On the palate it is fresh, with good acidity and soft tannins, featuring a clean and persistent finish that recalls its hilly origins.

The aging method in wooden barrels helps balance its aromas and makes the drink harmonious and enveloping. Perfect with dishes based on red meats, game, and aged cheeses, this Vespolina is a true little jewel of Piedmontese winemaking.

Winery history
The company's origins date back to the 1950s, when Pierino Piantavigna planted the first vineyards; it was officially established in 1997 by Alessandro Francoli. Over time ownership and management have evolved to include local family collaborations and an expansion of vineyards and production, while maintaining a focus on the viticultural traditions of the Colline Novaresi.
