The "Pratto" by Ca' dei Frati is a refined still white wine, originating from the lush vineyards located on the southern shores of Lake Garda. This wine is the result of a skillful blend of Turbiana, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc grapes, contributing to a expressive and enveloping bouquet.

On the nose, "Pratto" stands out for its intense aromatic profile. Notes of ripe fruit such as peach and apricot meld with hints of honey and white flowers, enriched by a slight herbal touch typical of Sauvignon Blanc. The aromatic complexity is heightened by a light minerality, reminiscent of the unique characteristics of its terroir.

On the palate, the wine presents itself as rich and layered. The entry is smooth, with pleasing acidity bringing freshness and vivacity. The structure is well-balanced, offering a range of flavors that mirror the nose, with the addition of delicate citrus accents. The persistence is notable, with a long and pleasingly aromatic finish.

"Pratto" by Ca' dei Frati is a wine that excels at the dining table, pairing beautifully with elaborate fish dishes, seafood, white meats, and soft cheeses. It is also an excellent companion for rich vegetarian dishes, such as mushroom risottos or pasta with seasonal vegetables.

Serve at a temperature of 10-12°C to fully appreciate its range of aromas and flavors. With its elegant balance between complexity and freshness, "Pratto" promises a sensory experience that satisfies the most discerning palate, revealing with each sip the enological mastery of Ca' dei Frati.

Winery history
The estate is documented as far back as 1782, and its present course took shape when Felice Dal Cero moved to Lugana di Sirmione in 1939. The Dal Cero family progressively bottled and promoted Lugana; in 1969 Pietro Dal Cero took part in the establishment of the appellation by bottling its first label. Today the estate is managed by succeeding generations of the family, who carry on production and activities tied to the local area.
Production philosophy
Careful work in the vineyard and cellar, with separate vinifications for each vineyard to capture the different expressions of the terroir. The estate declares respect for the raw material, up-to-date techniques and carefully planned ageing to produce wines with integrity and longevity.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate's main vineyards are concentrated in the Lugana di Sirmione area and around the tower of San Martino della Battaglia on Lake Garda; in the early 2000s the estate also acquired approximately 11 hectares in Valpolicella, where the Amarone 'Pietro Dal Cero' is produced.
