The Viogner IGP Soente - Cotarella is a white wine that unleashes all the elegance and personality typical of this French-origin grape variety, successfully cultivated in the hills of Lazio. Made from carefully selected Viognier grapes, this wine expresses enveloping aromas of peach, apricot, and white flowers on the nose, accompanied by delicate aromatic hints of spices and slightly honeyed notes.

The aging, carried out in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, preserves the freshness and vibrant acidity that make the sip harmonious and smooth, with a pleasantly persistent finish. The Soente stands out for its silky texture and balanced structure, ideal for those who love rich but not overpowering white wines.

It pairs magnificently with refined fish dishes, shellfish, or delicate white meats, making it perfect for both an elegant aperitif and a gourmet dinner. A true expression of the territory and the meticulous care of the Cotarella winery.

Winery history
The family's roots date back to the 1960s; brothers Renzo and Riccardo Cotarella founded the Falesco project in 1979. In the years that followed, leadership passed to the next generation and the group evolved into Famiglia Cotarella, expanding its vineyard holdings and acquiring new estates. The company has also conducted research and initiatives to recover local grape varieties such as Roscetto.
Production philosophy
The pursuit of territorial expression through the integration of tradition and innovation: a focus on enhancing indigenous grape varieties, experimentation in the vineyard and cellar, and training and social responsibility projects linked to the territory.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards are mainly located across Lazio and Umbria, with sites also in Tuscany. Soils are often of volcanic origin in the areas surrounding Lake Bolsena.
