The Cutty Sark Prohibition Edition Whisky celebrates the Prohibition era in the United States with a bold and characterful limited edition. Distilled following artisanal methods, this whisky pays tribute to the courage and determination of those who, during Prohibition, continued to produce and distribute alcohol despite heavy risks.
This edition has an alcohol content of 50%, higher than average, which accentuates its intensity and rich aromatic complexity. On the nose, notes of vanilla and toffee emerge, wrapped in hints of citrus and delicately balanced spices. On the palate, it presents itself as round, with a nice balance between the sweetness of malt and the spicy warmth of oak. The finish is long and smooth, with a lingering aftertaste reminiscent of chocolate and smoked wood.

Distillation
Not a single distillery: the product is a blend obtained by combining malt and grain whiskies from supplying distilleries; the brand then applies a 21-day marrying period and cold filtration (chill filtration) prior to bottling.
Ageing
Selection and maturation in oak casks; for specific expressions bourbon casks and sherry casks are used (e.g. Cutty Sark 12) and selected American casks are used for some releases such as Prohibition.
