The story
The distillery was founded in 1881, closed in 1994 and acquired in 2000; it returned to production in 2001. The first distillation of The Botanist took place in 2010.

Progressive, terroir-driven distilling focused on Islay’s landscape, 22 hand-foraged wild botanicals and biodiversity conservation.
