Storia della cantina Famille Hugel

Casa vinicola fondata dalla famiglia Hugel e radicata a Riquewihr; rimasta nelle mani della stessa famiglia per generazioni. L'azienda è nota per il ruolo svolto nel definire le regole per le Vendanges Tardives e la Sélection de Grains Nobles in Alsazia e conserva cantine e botti storiche nel centro medievale di Riquewihr.

Filosofia produttiva

Privilegia l'espressione del territorio e delle varietà nobili alsaziane, con raccolte manuali e una gamma che spazia dai vini 'Classic' più immediati a cuvée di alta gamma basate su singoli lieux-dits. Le referenze standard sono generalmente secche; le cuvée speciali riflettono l'impegno nella qualità e nell'autenticità del vitigno e del sito.

Territorio e vigneti

Vigneti concentrati attorno al borgo di Riquewihr, con appezzamenti collocati su terroir di pregio, inclusi parcelle nei principali lieux-dits/Grand Cru come Schoenenbourg, Sporen e Pflostig; inoltre acquisisce uve sotto contratto da vigneti selezionati nella regione.
