Winery based in Farra d'Isonzo (GO), operating within the Collio and Isonzo del Friuli DOCs, producing white, red and sparkling wines, with a focus on organic practices and the use of amphorae.
Originally established as a family-run producer rooted in the traditions of the Friuli region, Colmello di Grotta is now managed by its current owners, who have refocused the estate on quality production, with winemaking carried out alternately in stainless steel and in small ceramic amphorae.
Production philosophy
Maintain a modest scale and pay close attention to vineyard and cellar details, favoring a balance between modern techniques and amphora vinification, with a strong focus on quality and agricultural sustainability.
Terroir and vineyards
