The Gutturnio Vivace DOC produced by La Ratta winery is one of the most authentic and traditional expressions of the Piacenza area. This wine results from the skilled winemaking of Barbera and Bonarda grapes, cultivated with dedication in the fertile valleys of Emilia-Romagna, a region renowned for its bold wines.
The color of Gutturnio Vivace is a deep ruby red with violet hues, typical of the vivacity that characterizes this variant. On the nose, it presents a rich and persistent bouquet, with notes of fresh fruit such as cherry and plum, enhanced by light spicy hints and a lively acidic streak inviting a sip.
On the palate, this wine is generous and harmonious. The freshness and moderate effervescence, characteristic of Gutturnio Vivace, balance perfectly with the structure and smoothness provided by the ripe grapes. The aftertaste is pleasantly fruity and persistent, with a finish that brings back the sweet spices detected on the nose.
Ideal as an accompaniment to dishes from the Emilian cuisine, such as cold cuts and medium-aged cheeses, the Gutturnio Vivace DOC by La Ratta is also perfect with more structured dishes like baked lasagna or roasts. Its liveliness makes it suitable for convivial occasions, serving as an excellent aperitif or an all-meal wine for an informal but characterful dinner. Serve chilled, at a temperature of about 14-16°C, to best appreciate its quality and freshness.
