The Cirò Rosso Classico DOC produced by Segno Librandi Winery is one of the most representative wines of Calabrian viticulture. The blend is dominated by Gaglioppo, an ancient indigenous grape variety that finds its highest expression in the red and rugged soils of the Cirò region.
With a balanced alcohol content, this wine presents a deep and captivating ruby red color. On the nose, it offers a complex and intensely aromatic bouquet with notes of ripe red fruits like cherry and plum, enriched by hints of spices and a light touch of tobacco and leather, typical of careful aging.
On the palate, Cirò Rosso Classico reveals a solid and well-balanced structure. The attack is vigorous yet harmonious, followed by a mid-palate where the fruit and spices blend into a soft but present tannin, promising good longevity. The finish is persistent, with a lingering aftertaste reminiscent of earth and forest fruits, leaving a pleasantly warm and enveloping sensation.
Recommended to accompany traditional Calabrian cuisine dishes, such as pasta alla 'nduja or red meat roasts, Cirò Rosso Classico by Segno Librandi is also an excellent choice for contemplative evenings by the fireplace.
