The Recioto di Soave "La Perlara" DOCG from Cà Rugate winery is a true gem in the panorama of Italian sweet wines. Originating from the Soave area, in the heart of Veneto, this wine is produced exclusively with carefully selected Garganega grapes that undergo a meticulous drying process.

La Perlara presents an intense golden yellow color, which already anticipates the olfactory sensations of ripe exotic fruit, honey, and notes of sweet spices such as vanilla and cinnamon, enriched with nuances of toasted almond. On the palate, this Recioto di Soave captivates with its perfect balance between sweetness and freshness, displaying extraordinary complexity and a long aromatic persistence. The sweetness is well balanced by the acidity, creating a wine that is rich and enveloping without ever being cloying.

The production process includes fermentation in small containers followed by a maturation period in French oak barriques, which contributes to giving the wine its particular structure and complexity.

Perfect as a meditation wine, the Recioto di Soave "La Perlara" pairs wonderfully with desserts such as dried fruit cakes, butter cookies, or blue cheeses. It is also excellent as the conclusion of a meal or served on special occasions.

With its elegant charm and profound notes, La Perlara by Cà Rugate is an exhilarating example of how the Veneto region can express a tradition of great prestige in the glass. Its intense aromas and rich sweetness make it a must for lovers of high-quality dessert wines.

Winery history
The Tessari family has been cultivating vineyards in the area for over a century; the Ca' Rugate label first appeared on bottles in 1986. In 2001 Michele Tessari, the fourth generation of the family, launched a project to reorganize the estate and expand the vineyards, and the new winery in Montecchia di Crosara was inaugurated in 2002. Over the years the estate has developed wine‑tourism activities and created a wine museum to tell the family's agricultural history.
Production philosophy
Quality that begins in the vineyard is a priority: sustainable management and low-impact practices to enhance native varieties and the expression of the terroir. Since 2004 the estate has adopted more sustainable agronomic methods and demonstrates a commitment to traceability and preserving the local character. Since 2013 it has been part of Indipendenti del Soave.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are situated on the hills of Val d'Alpone and on land well suited to Soave Classico, Valpolicella and Lessini Durello. The soils have a volcanic and calcareous‑basaltic composition typical of the Soave area; some parcels lie on ridges and terraces with steep slopes and average elevations of around 400–450 meters above sea level.
Awards and recognitions
Numerous national and international awards, including several 'Tre Bicchieri' from the Gambero Rosso guide for the winery's wines, and medals/recognitions at international competitions also dedicated to mountain and heroic wines.
