This Soave Classico "San Michele" produced by Cà Rugate is a white wine that enchants connoisseurs with its perfect balance between fragrance and structure. The 375ml bottle size makes it ideal for an intimate tasting or as a refined pairing for light meals.

Born in the renowned vineyards of Veneto, this wine is an authentic expression of the Garganega grapes, carefully selected and handpicked. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, thus preserving all the aromatic nuances typical of the variety.

On the nose, "San Michele" offers a varied bouquet, with dominating notes of white flowers, citrus, and a delicate touch of fresh almond. On the palate, it stands out for its freshness and liveliness, accompanied by a soft minerality that reflects the volcanic and calcareous terroir of the area. The finish is persistent and clean, with a pleasant return of the citrus notes.

Its well-balanced acidity and medium body make it versatile for culinary pairings. It pairs beautifully with light appetizers, fish or seafood dishes, and can be exceptional with risottos and pasta with herbs.

Ideal to be served chilled, "San Michele" by Cà Rugate is an excellent choice for those looking for a wine that combines tradition and enjoyability, perfect for enriching special moments or to be appreciated in tranquility. A timeless classic that continues to captivate with its clean style and innate elegance.

Winery history
The Tessari family has been cultivating vineyards in the area for over a century; the Ca' Rugate label first appeared on bottles in 1986. In 2001 Michele Tessari, the fourth generation of the family, launched a project to reorganize the estate and expand the vineyards, and the new winery in Montecchia di Crosara was inaugurated in 2002. Over the years the estate has developed wine‑tourism activities and created a wine museum to tell the family's agricultural history.
Production philosophy
Quality that begins in the vineyard is a priority: sustainable management and low-impact practices to enhance native varieties and the expression of the terroir. Since 2004 the estate has adopted more sustainable agronomic methods and demonstrates a commitment to traceability and preserving the local character. Since 2013 it has been part of Indipendenti del Soave.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are situated on the hills of Val d'Alpone and on land well suited to Soave Classico, Valpolicella and Lessini Durello. The soils have a volcanic and calcareous‑basaltic composition typical of the Soave area; some parcels lie on ridges and terraces with steep slopes and average elevations of around 400–450 meters above sea level.
Awards and recognitions
Numerous national and international awards, including several 'Tre Bicchieri' from the Gambero Rosso guide for the winery's wines, and medals/recognitions at international competitions also dedicated to mountain and heroic wines.
