Winery Domaine de la Cotelleraie

The property has been in the Vallée family for generations; its buildings date back to the 19th century. Gérald Vallée is the current winemaker and has firmly committed the estate to organic viticulture and to showcasing its individual crus, opening the winery to visits and tastings.

Terroir-led approach and certified organic production: the winery highlights the characteristics of its different soils and ages the wine both in large foudres and in smaller oak barrels to enhance the complexity and finesse of the Cabernet Franc.

Situated in the heart of the Saint‑Nicolas‑de‑Bourgueil appellation, the vineyards sit on varied soils: gravel terraces, siliceous limestones of the coteaux and the valley's gravelly montils; there are also local deposits known as 'perruches'.
