Winery history Ferghettina

Founded in the early 1990s by Roberto Gatti, Ferghettina has grown from its initial few hectares into a family-run estate now also managed by his children, Laura and Matteo. The estate has expanded production to include both Franciacorta DOCG traditional-method sparkling wines and Curtefranca still wines. It is also known for introducing a square-bottomed bottle designed and patented by the family.

Production philosophy

Strong focus on terroir and quality: parcel-by-parcel work, separate vinifications, adoption of sustainable practices and the pursuit of technical and stylistic solutions that enhance the wine’s characteristics.

Terroir and vineyards

The winery is located in Adro, in the moraine hills of Franciacorta overlooking Lake Iseo. The estate's vineyards cover approximately 200 hectares across several municipalities of Franciacorta; part is used directly for the estate's production while the remainder is sold.
