Winery history Tenuta di Salviano

The property has medieval origins linked to the Castello di Titignano; over the centuries it passed through various noble families and was acquired by the Principi Corsini in the 19th century. In the 20th century the estate came into the Incisa della Rocchetta family through marriage; since 2015 management has been entrusted to Giovanni and his wife Tara Incisa della Rocchetta, who have undertaken renovation and the relaunch of the estate’s wine production.

Production philosophy

Production focused on expressing the terroir, with hand-harvests, the use of indigenous yeasts in some vinifications, and careful tending of vineyards at varying altitudes. The winery offers low-to-medium production wines that showcase native grape varieties and local micro-terroirs.

Terroir and vineyards

The estate is located on the hills around Lago di Corbara, in the municipality of Baschi / Civitella del Lago. The vineyards mentioned are situated at elevations of approximately 300 to 500 metres and grow on tuffaceous, volcanic soils with fine gravel.

Awards and recognitions

Bronze medal awarded to Orvieto Classico Superiore DOC 2018.
