The Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG "Magnum - Velina Cilindro - Santico" from the Santi winery is a wine that expresses the majesty and elegance of the Valpolicella territory. Presented in a Magnum format, it is a wine that not only reflects the winemaking tradition of this prestigious area, but also celebrates the skill and passion of the Santi winery in creating exceptional wines.

Visually, it presents an intense and deep garnet red color, announcing its richness and structure. On the nose, the wine offers a complex and enveloping bouquet, with aromas of ripe fruit, such as cherries in alcohol and plums, together with notes of chocolate, sweet spices, vanilla and a touch of tobacco, the result of careful maturation in wood.

On the palate, this Amarone stands out for its power and at the same time elegance. The tannins are present but soft and well integrated, the acidity is balanced and contributes to a freshness that balances the sensation of heat. Flavors of ripe fruit, chocolate, spices and a persistent aftertaste are perceived.

This Amarone is perfect to accompany intense and tasty dishes, such as red meats, stews, game and mature cheeses. The Magnum format makes it ideal for special occasions, where wine becomes the protagonist of the table and of the banquet.

Winery history
Cantina Santi was founded as a winery in Illasi and has been present in Valpolicella since the 19th century. During the 20th century the Santi family introduced technical innovations and progressively focused on high-end wines; in 1974 the winery became part of Gruppo Italiano Vini, which reinforced investments and facilities while preserving its local identity.
Production philosophy
Santi claims a style tied to the sense of place of Valpolicella: it favors the predominant use of Corvina in its selections, aging in large traditional casks, and the use of local woods to enhance the aromatic qualities typical of native grape varieties. The approach combines oenological research with respect for local practices.
Terroir and vineyards
Santi's vineyards and selections are concentrated in Val d'Illasi and the classic areas of Valpolicella, using a vineyard-selection approach across different exposures and microclimates to produce wines that reflect the local terroir. The winery also works with vineyards in other Veronese appellations such as Soave, Bardolino and Lugana.
