Assolo Secco Reggiano DOC di Medici Ermete offers a sober, straightforward profile. In the glass it shows a bright straw color and on the nose there are hints of white flowers, citrus peel and light fresh apple; the overall impression is of controlled freshness without excessive aromatics. On the palate it is dry, with a slender body and pleasant acidity that balances the fruit. The finish is clean and of moderate persistence, with citrus echoes that make it an easy drink.

This wine suits informal occasions and everyday pairings; it goes well with light starters, simple fish dishes and salads, and can also accompany medium-mature cheeses. A cool serving temperature is recommended to highlight freshness, and a generous glass helps aromatic perception. For those seeking a measured, immediate white, Assolo Secco is an honest, straightforward option for immediate enjoyment and casual occasions.

Winery history
Founded in 1890 by Remigio Medici. Managed by Ermete and subsequent generations, the company took part in the Lambrusco boom of the 1970s. In the late 1980s the family restructured production (lower yields, replanting) and in 1993 launched the Lambrusco “Concerto.” Today the fifth generation leads the winery, which manages about 80 hectares of organically farmed vineyards.
Production philosophy
Enhancing territory and typicity through respectful viticulture (reduced yields per hectare), strict grape selection, careful winemaking and a commitment to sustainability (the “Generation 2031” program and organic conversion of vineyards).
Terroir and vineyards
Emilia-Romagna (province of Reggio Emilia): vineyards spread between the plain and the hills of the Enza valley; soils mainly clayey. Company headquarters in Gaida di Reggio Emilia.
Awards and recognitions
Lambrusco "Concerto" has repeatedly received the Tre Bicchieri di Gambero Rosso; other recent recognitions include high scores from Wine Enthusiast for "Phermento" and medals and mentions in international competitions. Reported certifications: organic and Equalitas.
