Discovering a hidden gem of Burgundy, the "Auxey Duresses - Les Crais" wine from the renowned Alain Gras winery stands out for its refinement and authenticity. Cultivated in one of the most exclusive climates of Auxey-Duresses, this wine captures the essence of the terroir with meticulous winemaking that reflects extreme attention to detail.

The wine exhibits a delicate ruby red color, with brilliant reflections that hint at its elegance. On the nose, it opens with floral notes of rose and violet, skillfully paired with aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherry and strawberry. A subtle hint of spice and a trace of oak wood further enrich the bouquet.

On the palate, "Les Crais" reveals itself to be balanced and structured. The lively acidity harmoniously blends with soft tannins, offering a pleasant and persistent tasting experience. Notes of fresh fruit and a touch of minerality provide freshness and length to the drink, making this wine an excellent choice to accompany delicate meat dishes or medium-aged cheeses.

A true exemplar of how the terroir of Auxey-Duresses can be interpreted through the passionate and meticulous work of Alain Gras.

Viticultural practices with hand harvesting and controlled pest management. Widespread presence on the wine lists of starred restaurants.
Winery history
Alain Gras settled in Saint‑Romain in 1979 and over the years built a small estate with parcels in Saint‑Romain, Meursault and Auxey‑Duresses. In recent years his son Arthur joined the family business and has gradually taken over management of the estate, maintaining the terroir‑focused approach passed down by Alain.
Production philosophy
Emphasis on the value of Saint‑Romain's calcareous terroir, traditional winemaking aimed at freshness, minerality and elegance; vineyard practices focused on targeted pest control and soil management, and hand-harvesting to preserve the quality and identity of the parcels.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is situated in the commune of Saint‑Romain, on limestone hills between Meursault and Pommard. It also manages scattered vineyards in the communes of Meursault and Auxey‑Duresses, on clay‑limestone soils that impart mineral tension to the wines.
Awards and recognitions
Recognized and cited in wine guides and with a well-established presence on the wine lists of numerous three-Michelin-star restaurants; individual cuvées have been positively reviewed by specialist guides.
