Descrizione

Barbera d’Alba DOC 2024 from Brezza presents a bright ruby color and an immediate personality: aromas of ripe cherry, raspberry and light floral notes that open easily. The palate is lively, supported by a fresh acidity that enlivens the mouth and makes it easy to drink; medium-bodied, with smooth tannins and a pleasant sapidity that balances the fruit, with a slight spicy hint that lengthens the profile. Overall it shows a pleasing balance between freshness and body, easy to appreciate on first taste.

In the glass it remains clean and direct, with fruity echoes and a sincere persistence that invites a second glass. It can be enjoyed either served young or paired with traditional dishes: cured meats, pasta with ragù, grilled meats and medium-aged cheeses; ideal serving temperature around 16–18 °C. A daily wine but with character, suitable for informal gatherings and flavorful meals, where its drinkability and freshness make the difference.

Winery history

The Brezza family has owned vineyards in Barolo since 1885; the company name comes from Giacomo Brezza and the first documented bottling dates to the early 20th century. The business has remained family-run and has developed by preserving the historic cellars while combining tradition with some technological interventions in winemaking.

Production philosophy

Enhancing the crus and the Langhe territory, prioritizing winemaking that respects the grapes' characteristics: a traditional approach for the great reds and stainless-steel vinification for the fresher styles.
