The Barolo DOCG Cerequio from Chiarlo shows a deep ruby color tending toward garnet, with good clarity. On the nose it is reserved yet complex: notes of ripe red fruit, light floral hints, subtle spice and an earthy thread that adds depth emerge. The aromatic balance is composed, without excess, inviting careful attention that progressively reveals richer nuances.

On the palate it displays a solid structure, present but well-integrated tannins and acidity that gives liveliness; the finish is persistent, with aromatic recalls of the olfactory impressions. It suits full-flavored dishes, roasted meats or aged cheeses, and can stand up to structured preparations. Wide glasses and a moderate serving temperature are recommended; a light decanting can help open the aromas; it also pairs well with mushroom dishes and small game preparations. Depending on preference, it can be enjoyed young or after several years of bottle age.
