An ideal option for those seeking a superior quality wine, the Bolgheri Superiore DOC from Ca' Marcanda di Gaja is destined to delight palates with its complexity and unique elegance.

The achievement of an overall result of medium-full body and long silkiness in this vintage, worthy of aging, is linked to the careful timing of the harvest and the careful use of French oak.

The fragrant bouquet reveals notes of red fruits, cherries and berries, accompanied by balsamic nuances, delicate floral nuances and hints of lavender. In the mouth, the wine is decidedly full-bodied, with exceptional depth, a dense structure and a solid body, culminating in a salty and spicy finish.

This red wine is the perfect companion for first courses, meat, mature cheeses and truffle-based dishes.

Winery history
The Gaja family has been present in the Langhe since the second half of the 19th century; the estate, established in the community of Barbaresco, became internationally renowned thanks to its modernization choices and the bottling of wines from individual vineyards. Over time the estate has expanded beyond the heart of the Langhe with investments and holdings in other Italian regions.
