Intense on the nose, the Dolcetto d'Alba Barturot reveals enticing notes of ripe cherry, plum, and spicy touches that gradually unfold. The uniqueness of these vines, grown in optimally sunlit locations, is that they manage to impart a pleasantly harmonious olfactory complexity to the wine.
On the palate, the wine is rich and round, characterized by soft tannins that blend well with the typical acidity of the Dolcetto variety. The finish is clean and persistent, with an aftertaste that recalls berries and light hints of amaretto, which are distinctive of the variety.
With an alcohol content around 13.5%, this wine is an excellent choice to accompany Piedmontese dishes, such as tajarin with sausage sauce or appetizers based on robust cured meats and cheeses.
