Albert Pic's Chablis Premier Cru "Mont de Milieu" is an excellent representation of one of the most popular Premier Crus of Chablis, a wine-growing region renowned for its ability to produce white Chardonnay wines with an unmistakable characteristic minerality and freshness. Albert Pic, as a historic name in Chablis production, carries on a tradition of excellence, creating wines that are celebrated for their purity, complexity and authentic representation of terroir.

The "Mont de Milieu" vineyard is located on the border between the municipalities of Chablis and Fleys, on the right bank of the Serein river. This privileged location benefits from optimal sun exposure and calcareous soils, which are ideal for Chardonnay, giving the wine an extraordinary richness of flavor and a marked minerality. It is located near the famous Grand Cru "Les Clos", and is known for producing wines of remarkable structure and aging potential.

In Albert Pic's Chablis Premier Cru "Mont de Milieu", meticulous attention to the quality of the grapes and winemaking is reflected in every sip. Fermentation and aging are carefully controlled to preserve the fruit's expression and characteristic freshness, whilst allowing the distinctive character of the vineyard to fully emerge.

Visually, the wine presents a bright straw yellow color. On the nose, it opens with an intense aroma, characterized by notes of citrus, green apple, white flowers, together with a subtle mineral vein reminiscent of flint, typical of the best Chablis. These olfactory elements herald a complex and layered flavor palette.

In the mouth, the "Mont de Milieu" offers an extraordinary combination of liveliness and structure. Well-balanced acidity supports fresh fruit and mineral flavors, leading to a long, clean finish that leaves a lingering sensation of elegance and freshness. This wine demonstrates considerable complexity that will develop further with aging.

Ideal in combination with delicate but tasty dishes, such as seafood, grilled fish, poultry in light sauces or fresh goat cheeses, the Chablis Premier Cru "Mont de Milieu" by Albert Pic is a splendid example of the ability of Chablis to accompany and enhance a wide range of foods, offering a tasting experience that is both refined and intensely satisfying.

In conclusion, Albert Pic's Chablis Premier Cru "Mont de Milieu" is a wine that celebrates the pure and sophisticated expression of Chardonnay in one of Chablis' most respected terroirs, offering wine lovers a testament to the craftsmanship and heritage by Albert Pic in the world of wine.

Winery history
Albert Pic & Fils is one of the oldest houses in Chablis; many commercial and technical sheets record the year of foundation as 1755. The estate was acquired and relaunched by Baron Patrick de Ladoucette, who began a programme to modernize the winery.
Production philosophy
The production style aims to express the purity and minerality typical of Chablis: controlled fermentations and aging that favors bottle maturation rather than heavy use of wood, to preserve the expressiveness of the terroir and of the Chardonnay.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate's vineyards are located in the Chablis area, on Kimmeridgian soils rich in fossils and marls that contribute to the wines' characteristic salinity and minerality. The climate is typically continental.
