The Chianti Classico DOCG produced by Istine is truly an example of elegance and tradition from the Tuscan region. Casanova dell'Aie winery, located in the heart of the Chianti Classico territory, is known for its dedication to creating wines that authentically express the local terroir.

This Chianti Classico stands out for its deep ruby-red color, a visual invitation that precedes the discovery of its aromatic and flavorful riches. On the nose, it presents notes of ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, enhanced by hints of spices including black pepper and a light touch of vanilla, evidence of a balanced aging in wood.

On the palate, the wine shows a solid yet harmonious structure, with well-integrated tannins that promise good longevity. The acidity is lively and well-balanced, typical of the Sangiovese grape, contributing to keeping the wine fresh and inviting. The finish is persistent, leaving a pleasant sensation of red fruits and a delicate spiciness that beckons another sip.

Ideal for pairing with Italian cuisine such as pasta with ragù, the Chianti Classico DOCG from Istine is also perfect with aged cheeses and grilled red meats. A wine that beautifully represents its origin, offering an authentically Tuscan tasting experience.

This Chianti Classico DOCG by Casanova dell'Aie is an excellent choice for those who wish to explore the depth and complexity of Chianti wines, always keeping in mind the tradition and innovation that the Istine winery brings with it.

Winery history
The estate is managed by the Fronti family: the family's agricultural business traces its origins to the enterprise started by Bruno Fronti in 1959; the first vineyard land was purchased in 1982. For years the grapes were sold in bulk to third parties until the first bottling under their own label with the 2009 vintage. In 2012 they launched a project of separate vinification for cru from individual vineyards. The estate has been certified organic since the 2016 vintage.
Production philosophy
Expressive regional wines produced by prioritizing Sangiovese from individual vineyards, environmentally friendly agricultural practices, and winemaking aimed at highlighting site exposure and soil characteristics. The approach focuses on quality, limited production per individual cru, and sustainability.
Terroir and vineyards
Discontinuous vineyards located in the Chianti Classico area, characterized by high elevations and loose soils dominated by galestro and alberese. Main vineyards: Vigna Istine, Casanova dell'Aia and Cavarchione.
