The Chianti Classico DOCG "Vigna Cavarchione" by Istine is a high-quality wine within the vast array of wines produced by the renowned Chianti region. Made in the exclusive "Cavarchione" vineyard, this wine represents the excellence of Tuscan viticulture, thanks to a unique terroir that imparts distinctive characteristics to the wine.

This red wine encapsulates the essence of Sangiovese, the quintessential native grape variety of Tuscany, presenting a concentration of aromas ranging from ripe red fruits like cherries and plums, to more complex notes of tobacco, leather, and a slight spiciness. Its maturation, carried out equally in large oak barrels and smaller barriques, lends an elegant yet robust tannic structure, as well as an aromatic persistence that prolongs the tasting experience.

The color of "Vigna Cavarchione" is typically intense, a deep ruby that heralds the wine's complex and robust structure. On the palate, the balance between acidity and tannins results in a velvety and rich sip, with a lingering finish that invites contemplation.

This Chianti Classico DOCG pairs perfectly with dishes from Tuscan cuisine, such as Florentine steak or game, capable of supporting intense flavors without being overwhelmed. It also pairs excellently with aged cheeses, creating a combination that enhances each tasting.

With an aging potential that makes it also ideal for cellar aging, the "Vigna Cavarchione" by Istine is destined to improve further, acquiring nuances and sophistication over the years, promising to provide ever new and surprising tasting experiences.

Winery history
The estate is managed by the Fronti family: the family's agricultural business traces its origins to the enterprise started by Bruno Fronti in 1959; the first vineyard land was purchased in 1982. For years the grapes were sold in bulk to third parties until the first bottling under their own label with the 2009 vintage. In 2012 they launched a project of separate vinification for cru from individual vineyards. The estate has been certified organic since the 2016 vintage.
Production philosophy
Expressive regional wines produced by prioritizing Sangiovese from individual vineyards, environmentally friendly agricultural practices, and winemaking aimed at highlighting site exposure and soil characteristics. The approach focuses on quality, limited production per individual cru, and sustainability.
Terroir and vineyards
Discontinuous vineyards located in the Chianti Classico area, characterized by high elevations and loose soils dominated by galestro and alberese. Main vineyards: Vigna Istine, Casanova dell'Aia and Cavarchione.
