The Chianti Classico DOCG - Vigna Istine by Istine is a refined exemplification of elegance and Tuscan tradition in the world of wine. Sourced from vineyards at the heart of Chianti Classico, this wine is the result of a meticulous selection of Sangiovese grapes, the undisputed symbol of the region.

With careful winemaking, involving prolonged maceration and fermentation in stainless steel vats at controlled temperatures, the Chianti Classico Vigna Istine perfectly expresses the varietal characteristics of Sangiovese. It is followed by aging in oak barrels of various sizes for a period ranging from 12 to 18 months, which contributes to a perfect balance between tannic structure and the freshness of the fruit.

Visually, it presents an intense ruby red color, which turns to garnet as it ages. The nose is caressed by aromas of ripe cherry, plum, and spicy notes of tobacco and leather, enriched by a light touch of vanilla and chocolate from the wood aging. On the palate, the Chianti Classico Vigna Istine displays extraordinary complexity with a perfect balance between acidity and tannins, resulting in excellent drinkability and a long, lingering aftertaste.

Ideal paired with traditional Tuscan dishes such as bistecca alla fiorentina, red meat roasts, and aged cheeses, this wine can also evolve magnificently over many years of aging, maintaining its elegance and complexity intact.

The Chianti Classico DOCG - Vigna Istine is not just a wine, but a true symbol of how tradition and care can converge in a glass to encapsulate the history and passion of Tuscan winemaking.

Winery history
The estate is managed by the Fronti family: the family's agricultural business traces its origins to the enterprise started by Bruno Fronti in 1959; the first vineyard land was purchased in 1982. For years the grapes were sold in bulk to third parties until the first bottling under their own label with the 2009 vintage. In 2012 they launched a project of separate vinification for cru from individual vineyards. The estate has been certified organic since the 2016 vintage.
Production philosophy
Expressive regional wines produced by prioritizing Sangiovese from individual vineyards, environmentally friendly agricultural practices, and winemaking aimed at highlighting site exposure and soil characteristics. The approach focuses on quality, limited production per individual cru, and sustainability.
Terroir and vineyards
Discontinuous vineyards located in the Chianti Classico area, characterized by high elevations and loose soils dominated by galestro and alberese. Main vineyards: Vigna Istine, Casanova dell'Aia and Cavarchione.
