The Etna DOC Rosso Prephylloxera wine in Magnum format, presented in a wooden case by Palmento Costanzo, is a work of oenological art that testifies to the richness and depth of Etna's winemaking heritage. Produced from ancient non-grafted vineyards, which survived the devastation of phylloxera thanks to the peculiarity of Etna's volcanic and sandy soils, this wine is a rare example of continuity and resistance over time.

These pre-phylloxera vineyards, grown at high altitudes on the slopes of Etna, produce Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio grapes, native vines which in these conditions express unique characteristics. The limited production and high concentration of these grapes give the wine an extraordinary intensity of aromas and an unparalleled flavor complexity.

Palmento Costanzo, with its commitment to quality and attention to sustainability, follows viticultural practices and winemaking methods that enhance the uniqueness of these historic grapes. Fermentation occurs with the use of indigenous yeasts and a balanced aging in wood which adds complexity to the wine without overwhelming its natural expression.

The Magnum format (1.5 litres) is ideal not only for celebrating special occasions, but also for ageing, allowing the wine to develop and enrich itself with new nuances over the years. The presentation in a wooden case further highlights the exclusivity of this wine, making it a precious gift for enthusiasts or a valuable addition to any cellar.

Visually, Red Prephylloxera has an intense ruby red color, with garnet shades that emerge with maturation. On the nose, the wine offers a complex and seductive aromatic profile, with notes of berries, dried flowers, spices, balsamic and a marked minerality that reflects its connection to the volcano.

In the mouth, the wine is rich and layered, with an elegant tannic structure and well-balanced acidity that gives freshness and longevity. The flavors of ripe red fruit, aromatic herbs and volcanic minerals blend in a long and persistent finish, characterized by a pleasant complexity and an aftertaste that invites reflection.

Ideal in combination with structured dishes of meat, game and mature cheeses, the Etna DOC Rosso Prephylloxera Magnum by Palmento Costanzo is an eloquent testimony to the history, tradition and unique charm of Etna wines, offering an intense and memorable.
