The winery

Domaine Sérafin Père & Fils

Borgogna (Côte de Nuits)FranciaSince 1947

Small family domaine in Gevrey‑Chambertin (Côte de Nuits, Burgundy) known for its Pinot Noir produced at village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru levels.
Grape varieties
Pinot Noir
  • Family-owned domaine in Gevrey‑Chambertin with vineyard parcels in prestigious appellations of the Côte de Nuits.
  • Production focused on Pinot Noir
  • Current management entrusted to the third generation
  • Oriented towards agricultural practices that respect the soil and traditional winemaking.
The story
The estate traces its origins to Stanislas Sérafin. It was developed by the Sérafin family in Gevrey‑Chambertin and, over subsequent generations, saw its vineyard parcels expanded and its bottles progressively brought to market. Management passed to the next generation, and today the estate is overseen by the third generation: Karine Sérafin and Frédérique Goulley.
Production philosophy
The approach combines respect for the terroir with careful agricultural practices: reduced use of herbicides, attentive soil management and traditional winemaking with barrel aging. The goal is to express the tension and minerality typical of the Côte de Nuits through limited yields and careful aging in wood.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards are concentrated in the Côte de Nuits, with parcels also in Chambolle‑Musigny and Morey‑Saint‑Denis. The estate also owns a small plot in the Grand Cru Charmes‑Chambertin.
