Coming from the famous Alsace, the beating heart of Gewurztraminer production, this Sélection de Grains Nobles “S” 2010 signed Famille Hugel represents an absolute excellence in the category of sweet wines. From carefully selected grapes, affected by noble rot, arises a dense, complex, and surprisingly elegant nectar. The Gewurztraminer grape variety, known for its intense and spicy aromas, here evolves in a sumptuous guise, capable of best expressing the Alsatian terroir, rich in minerals and influenced by temperature variations that favor a perfect ripening of the grapes.

On the nose, enveloping notes of lychee, rose, and exotic fruit unfold, accompanied by honeyed accents and very slight hints of ginger and sweet spices. On the palate, the sustained sweetness is balanced by a vibrant acidity that provides freshness and cleanliness, ensuring a persistent and refined finish. The aging takes place in wooden barrels that allow slight oxygenation, enhancing the aromatic complexity without overpowering the natural expressiveness of the grape variety.

Perfect paired with foie gras, blue cheeses, or desserts based on candied fruit, this Gewurztraminer Sélection de Grains Nobles is a sensory journey that embodies the mastery and tradition of the historic Famille Hugel.
