The Lagrein Liro IGT from Riedingerhof is a red wine made from Lagrein grapes and produced using biodynamic practices. It shows an intense ruby color and on the nose offers an aromatic profile in which dark berries, riper cherry, floral hints and light spicy and earthy notes may emerge. On the palate it is generally full-bodied, with good structure and soft tannins: the acidity supports the sip and allows memories of plum, black cherry and a touch of dark chocolate to come through.

It is a versatile label, suited to grilled meats, roasts, aged cheeses and flavorful everyday dishes. Serve at around 16–18 °C; a short period of aeration before serving can help open the aromas. Biodynamic vineyard management suggests attention to the natural cycle that is reflected in a measured expression; the wine can be enjoyed young but also responds well to a few years of rest, depending on personal taste.

Production philosophy
Work in harmony with nature and organic production (the website displays a Bioland logo). In the cellar: spontaneous fermentations with native yeasts, minimal or no fining/filtration, ageing in tonneaux and sometimes in clay vessels; a low-intervention approach.
