Le Pavillon AOP Ermitage 2023 by Chapoutier is a red wine identified by the Ermitage appellation and the 2023 vintage. The name Le Pavillon distinguishes this wine within the producer’s range. However, the available information does not specify the grape variety, aromatic profile, structure or ageing method. It is therefore best not to attribute unconfirmed tasting notes or technical characteristics to it. A more precise assessment can be based on tasting and on the information provided on the label. This is an option for those interested in a red wine from this appellation, with the producer, appellation and vintage as the established points of reference.

It can be served with meat dishes, roasts or cheeses, with these pairings understood as general suggestions rather than recommendations based on a known sensory profile. For a more tailored choice, consider the recipe, the intensity of the seasoning and personal preferences, as well as the characteristics actually found in the glass. The information available here does not allow us to specify serving conditions, development or ageing potential. These details should also be checked against the technical sheet or with the producer. This straightforward presentation leaves room for the wine without promising qualities that have not been documented.

Winery history
The Chapoutier family has been present in the Rhône Valley since the early 19th century; family tradition records 1808 as the beginning of their presence in the region. Their winemaking activity developed over time and took a decisive turn with Michel Chapoutier, whose leadership from the 1980s/1990s expanded the Maison’s international reputation and introduced agronomic practices oriented toward biodynamics and the enhancement of individual crus.
Production philosophy
La Maison favors the expression of the terroir through parcel-level selections, low-intervention winemaking practices and vineyard management guided by organic and biodynamic principles. The philosophy of respect for the soil is paired with a strong focus on accessibility and transparency about the wines' origins.
