A deep ruby red with violet reflections, this Negroamaro from Salento stands out for its direct, Mediterranean profile. On the nose ripe black fruit — plum and dark cherry — emerges, accompanied by delicate spicy notes and a balsamic hint that recalls the aromatic maquis. The palate is full and enveloping but not opulent: well-defined structure, soft tannins and a freshness that balances the typical warmth of the area, leaving a pleasant persistence without feeling heavy.

It is a wine with good table versatility: it pairs well with tomato-based dishes, grilled meats and cured meats, as well as with aged cheeses that enhance its sapidity. It is best enjoyed at a cool but not cold temperature; a short period of aeration makes it even more open and rounded. It suits both informal evenings and more structured dinners, offering immediacy and comfort in the glass.
