Descrizione

Immediately approachable, this Pinot Noir from Trentino shows a light ruby colour and a subtle fragrance evoking small red fruits, rose petals and light undergrowth notes. On the nose it is elegant rather than overly powerful: a weave of aromas emerges that invites the sip without overpowering, supported by lively freshness and fine tannins that outline the structure without weighing it down. Overall it displays balance and a measured personality, suited to those seeking a Pinot Noir faithful to the fresh, savory mountain style.

On the palate the wine confirms the olfactory impressions: the sip is smooth, medium-bodied, with a pleasant juiciness that brings dynamism and well-calibrated softness. The finish has good persistence, with fruity echoes and a slight spicy note accompanying the end. Excellent with mushroom dishes, white meats and not overly aged cured meats; best enjoyed at around 14–16 °C and suitable for both informal dinners and more refined courses.

Winery history

La storia di Gaierhof è legata alla famiglia Togn: l'attività ha origini legate al lavoro di Germano Togn a partire dagli anni '40 e si è evoluta con il figlio Luigi, che negli anni '70 ha fondato ufficialmente Gaierhof e ha modernizzato la produzione. Negli anni successivi la famiglia ha ampliato le attività (tra cui l'acquisizione di Maso Poli nel 1978) e ha coinvolto le figlie Romina, Valentina e Martina nella gestione, affermandosi come realtà familiare consolidata nel territorio.

Production philosophy

Gaierhof opera come 'négociant of grapes', fondando la propria produzione su relazioni consolidate con viticoltori locali; privilegia vini di pronta beva, con chiara riconoscibilità del vitigno e del territorio, puntando su freschezza, fragranza aromatica e affidabilità nel tempo.

Terroir and vineyards

La cantina ha sede a Roverè della Luna (TN) e lavora uve provenienti dalle principali aree viticole del Trentino-Alto Adige: Valle di Cembra, Piana Rotaliana, Roverè della Luna, Colline Avisiane e Vallagarina. Il territorio è caratterizzato da microclimi e suoli diversi che favoriscono sia varietà bianche aromatiche sia vitigni rossi autoctoni come il Teroldego.
