The Roero Riserva Bricco Genestreto DOCG, produced by the renowned Monchiero Carbone winery, is a superb expression of the Roero territory. This wine is made entirely with Nebbiolo grapes, a variety that is notable for its ability to convey a deep sense of place and aromatic complexity.

With an alcohol content around 14%, the Roero Riserva Bricco Genestreto presents an intensely bright ruby red color, with shades that lean towards garnet as it ages. On the nose, it expresses a complex bouquet strongly tied to the terroir: one can detect notes of ripe red fruits like cherry and strawberry, combined with nuances of rose, violet, and subtle hints of spices such as pepper and anise.

On the palate, this wine reveals a robust and structured body, maintaining a pleasant harmony with finely polished and well-integrated tannins. The acidity is well balanced, contributing to a long and persistent taste experience, marked by returns of ripe fruit and delicate balsamic notes. The aging process, which includes periods in oak barrels, adds an additional level of complexity, infusing nuances of tobacco, chocolate, and leather, which beautifully complement the fruit.

Ideal to be served at a temperature of about 18°C, the Roero Riserva Bricco Genestreto is a wine that can splendidly accompany rich and flavorful dishes such as red meat roasts, game, and aged cheeses. Beyond its immediate pleasure, it offers excellent aging potential, gracefully evolving in the bottle for many years.

By purchasing this wine on our e-commerce, enthusiasts and collectors will be assured of adding a product of exceptional quality to their cellar, a testament to the elegance and wine tradition of the Roero.

Winery history
The Monchiero-Carbone family states a winemaking tradition dating back to the early 20th century and, on its official website, traces family roots to 1918; over time family members reunited and expanded the vineyards around Canale to develop the company's modern production. Third-party sources indicate that the winery’s structure was consolidated from the late 1980s/early 1990s, when the vineyards of two families were brought together to begin the joint enterprise.
Production philosophy
The estate focuses on the native grape varieties of the area and on an approach that showcases the terroir of the Roero and Langhe hills, experimenting with aging techniques to enhance the longevity of certain whites and reds. In recent years it has developed aged interpretations of Arneis.
