The Romagna Sangiovese DOC Superiore Riserva "Il Pruno" by Tenuta La Palazza is a refined expression of Sangiovese, cultivated in the fertile lands of Emilia-Romagna. This wine pays homage to the region’s winemaking tradition, with a rigorous selection of grapes and a superior quality reserve that is aged to enhance its characteristics to the fullest.

The harvest is conducted manually, typically at the end of September, ensuring that each grape reaches the peak of ripeness. Subsequently, the wine matures in oak barrels for a period ranging from 12 to 18 months, followed by further aging in the bottle, allowing the wine to develop a more complex and harmonious bouquet.

The color of "Il Pruno" is an intense ruby red with garnet reflections that deepen with age. On the nose, it offers a rich olfactory profile, with dominant notes of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and plums, paired with hints of spices, leather, and a light touch of vanilla, a result of its maturation in wood.

On the palate, the wine is robust yet balanced, with well-structured tannins and notable aromatic persistence. The acidity is well integrated, contributing to a freshness that balances the fruit's intensity. It is a wine that promises excellent longevity and evolves splendidly over the years.

Ideal for accompanying red meat dishes, game, and aged cheeses, "Il Pruno" by Tenuta La Palazza is an excellent choice for special occasions or as a gift for wine enthusiasts. A true treasure of Romagna, this Sangiovese Riserva represents a high-quality winemaking experience, capable of telling the richness and passion of Emilia-Romagna viticulture with every sip.
