Winery history Tenuta La Palazza

Tenuta La Palazza is owned by the Drei Donà family and was transformed beginning in the 1980s by Claudio Drei Donà into an estate dedicated to producing highly expressive wines. The family replanted vineyards, introduced international grape varieties and developed iconic wines such as Magnificat and Il Tornese, establishing the current winery and a production recognized both nationally and internationally.

Production philosophy

The winery pursues a vision aimed at fully expressing the character of the territory: rigor in the vineyard and cellar, manual harvesting with grape selection, parcel-by-parcel vinifications, use of indigenous yeasts, extended ageing in wood and amphorae, and respect for the balance between tradition and innovation.

Terroir and vineyards

Located on the hills of Romagna, in the DOC Predappio subzone and in the area around Forlì/Predappio, the estate benefits from soils typical of the Rabbi and Predappio valleys, which particularly enhance the local Sangiovese.

Awards and recognitions

Among the recognitions cited by the company: Magnificat rated 96/100 and included in Wine Enthusiast's Top 100; Il Tornese awarded Tre Bicchieri and recognized by Gambero Rosso as Italy's best white wine.
