Il Tornese from Tenuta La Palazza is an invitation to savor the essence of the region's finest white grape varieties, harvested with passion and masterfully transformed. This white wine stands out for its freshness and liveliness, resulting from the meticulous selection of grapes and careful winemaking aimed at preserving all the natural fragrances and aromas of the fruit.

With a straw-yellow color highlighted by greenish reflections, Il Tornese offers a rich and complex bouquet. Notes of ripe white fruit such as peach and pear can be perceived, enriched with floral nuances and slight hints of fresh aromatic herbs. These characteristics make it irresistibly inviting and delicately fragrant.

On the palate, freshness is the star. The acidity is well-balanced, giving the wine a pleasant drinkability that entices the next sip. It is elegant and smooth, with a slight minerality that adds depth to its flavor profile. The finish is clean and persistent, with an aftertaste that echoes the tones of ripe fruit and fresh herbs.

Perfect to enjoy as an aperitif or paired with fish dishes, seafood, and fresh cheeses, Il Tornese from Tenuta La Palazza is a wine that celebrates the beauty and richness of the territory from which it originates. Serve at a temperature of 8-10°C to fully appreciate all of its qualities.

This wine represents an ideal choice for those seeking a superior quality white, capable of elevating any special occasion or enriching everyday dining with a touch of elegance and freshness.

Historic Sangiovese crus: Vigna del Pruno and Notturno. Iconic wines: Magnificat and Il Tornese. Traditional-method production based on Chardonnay. Based in Massa di Vecchiazzano, Forlì. Careful winemaking practices: hand harvesting, native yeasts, and aging in wood and amphorae.
Winery history
Tenuta La Palazza is owned by the Drei Donà family and was transformed beginning in the 1980s by Claudio Drei Donà into an estate dedicated to producing highly expressive wines. The family replanted vineyards, introduced international grape varieties and developed iconic wines such as Magnificat and Il Tornese, establishing the current winery and a production recognized both nationally and internationally.
Production philosophy
The winery pursues a vision aimed at fully expressing the character of the territory: rigor in the vineyard and cellar, manual harvesting with grape selection, parcel-by-parcel vinifications, use of indigenous yeasts, extended ageing in wood and amphorae, and respect for the balance between tradition and innovation.
Terroir and vineyards
Located on the hills of Romagna, in the DOC Predappio subzone and in the area around Forlì/Predappio, the estate benefits from soils typical of the Rabbi and Predappio valleys, which particularly enhance the local Sangiovese.
