The Rosso IGT Isola dei Nuraghi "Barrua" in Magnum format by Agripunica represents one of the most fascinating expressions of the Sardinian winemaking heritage, born from the collaboration between two excellences in the world of wine: the Argiolas family, guardian of centuries-old Sardinian winemaking traditions, and Tenuta San Guido, producer of the famous Sassicaia. This wine embodies the perfect union between the depth and intensity of the native Sardinian vines and the refinement of international vines, in a unique terroir such as that of the Isola dei Nuraghi.

"Barrua" is mainly composed of Carignano, a vine that adapts magnificently to the climate and soil of Sardinia, giving the wine an extraordinary aromatic richness and structural complexity. Added to this are Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, which enrich the blend with notes of black fruit, elegance and a velvety tannic texture. The grapes are carefully selected and harvested manually in the Agripunica vineyards, located in the Sulcis region, where proximity to the sea and sandy soils play a crucial role in the expression of the terroir.

Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperatures, followed by aging in French oak barriques which harmoniously integrates the primary aromas with notes of sweet spices, toasting and vanilla. The Magnum format, equivalent to two standard bottles, not only makes "Barrua" a prestigious choice for special occasions but also contributes to a more harmonious aging of the wine, allowing a slower evolution of flavors and fragrances.

Visually, the wine presents itself with an intense and deep red color. On the nose, "Barrua" unfolds a wide aromatic range, with dominant notes of ripe red and black fruits, enriched by nuances of Mediterranean herbs, spices, chocolate and a light mineral vein, evidence of the rich terroir of origin.

In the mouth, the wine expresses a rich complexity, supported by soft and well-integrated tannins and a lively acidity that guarantees freshness and length. Ripe fruit flavors blend with elegant spicy and balsamic notes, leading to a long and persistent finish that leaves an impression of balance and fullness.

Ideal in combination with Sardinian and Mediterranean dishes, such as grilled red meats, game dishes and mature cheeses, the Rosso IGT Isola dei Nuraghi "Barrua" in Magnum format from Agripunica is a testimony to the oenological excellence of the island , offering a high-level tasting experience that enhances the richness and diversity of the Sardinian wine heritage.
