The Rosso Il Carbonaione in magnum format from Poggio Scalette offers a drinking profile focused on balance and straightforwardness. In the glass it shows a compact ruby color and an aromatic weave suggesting ripe forest fruits, cherry and a light touch of sweet spice; there are also subtle earthy and underbrush notes that add measured complexity. On the nose it is frank without excess, suitable for those looking for a direct yet nuanced wine.

On the palate it displays a well-balanced structure: medium body, present but smoothed tannins and an acidity that supports the drinkability, with a pleasant persistence recalling the fruit and the spicy impressions perceived on the nose. The magnum format makes it interesting for shared meals or moments when a bottle is meant to be enjoyed together; it pairs with characterful dishes such as grilled meats, game in a moderate sauce or aged cheeses, while also suiting an easygoing glass. Serve slightly cooler than room temperature.

Winery history
Terroir and vineyards
Awards and recognitions
Presenza e riconoscimenti su pubblicazioni e guide di settore (es. menzioni su Der Feinschmecker e Weinwelt; inserimenti in guide come Falstaff).
