The vinification takes place off-white, using only the free-run must. After decanting and racking, fermentation takes place at a temperature of 18° with the use of selected yeasts. The refermentation takes place in the bottle inside an 18th century cave, where the wine remains in contact with the yeasts for approximately 2 years. Subsequently, it is disgorged and finished with a small addition of liqueur d'expédition.

The wine has a straw yellow color with a light pink hue, which tends to evolve with aging taking on shades similar to onion skins. Floral notes of white petals and bread crust emerge. In the mouth, the very fine effervescence leaves room for the decisive and full character of Montepulciano.

Donna Giulia is the ideal table companion for the entire meal and can also be appreciated as an aperitif wine. It pairs well with oysters, seafood tartare, mixed fried foods and Ascoli style olives.

Country: Italia
Founded: 1882

Historic stone-built winery on the Riviera del Conero. Production focused on Rosso Conero and reserve wines made from Montepulciano. Also produces extra virgin olive oil and other estate products; on-site shop and tastings. Wines awarded at international competitions and featured in national wine guides.
Winery history
The estate is run by the Terni family and is rooted in local history; the stone cellar dates back to the nineteenth century and family management was consolidated during the twentieth century. In recent decades the family has expanded production and has enhanced wines such as Rosso Conero, the Sassi Neri reserves and other IGT wines and sparkling wines mentioned in the company profiles.
Production philosophy
The estate aims to showcase the Riviera del Conero, working grapes from its own vineyards to express the local character. It also produces oil and offers tours and tastings, with an approach rooted in family tradition and focused on enhancing the terroir.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located on the hills of Monte Conero, a short distance from the Adriatic Sea and Conero Regional Park. The soils around the estate are predominantly hilly, with maritime influences that contribute to the wines' minerality and freshness. The estate also includes olive groves used for the production of extra virgin olive oil.
