Cultivated in carefully selected vineyards of the Friuli region, this wine immediately stands out for its straw-yellow color with greenish reflections, a clear indicator of its youth and freshness. On the nose, the Sauvignon DOC Friuli - Terre Magre - Piera Martellozzo offers a complex bouquet in which notes of passion fruit, white peach, and a touch of aromatic herbs stand out, characteristics typical of the Sauvignon variety.

In the mouth, the impression is lively and pleasantly acidic, with a delicate structure that leads to a clean and persistent finish. The fruit and floral aromas blend harmoniously with mineral nuances derived from Friuli's unique terroir.

This wine is ideal to be served at a temperature of 8-10°C and is perfect as an aperitif or paired with light appetizers, fish-based dishes, or fresh cheeses like goat cheese. Its ability to enhance light and delicate flavors makes it a must for wine enthusiasts looking for a beverage that can accompany various dishes.

Overall, the Sauvignon DOC Friuli from Terre Magre Piera Martellozzo represents an excellent expression of this varietal in the heart of Friuli, offering a tasting experience that delights the palate and invites the next sip.

Winery history
The company’s history dates back to the late 19th century, with the first generation of the Martellozzo family active in 1899 in the province of Padua. In the 1990s Piera, of the third generation, took the helm of the business, began re-evaluating indigenous grape varieties and launched its first organic line. In the early 2000s the headquarters were consolidated in San Quirino, in the Friuli Grave area, serving as the starting point for expansion into national and international markets.
Production philosophy
The estate combines respect for the land with an innovative approach: careful selection of well‑suited vineyard parcels, the production of wines that reflect the local territory, and a focus on sustainable practices through measures such as photovoltaic systems, lightweight packaging, water reuse and careful selection of label materials.
Terroir and vineyards
Primarily operating in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, with ties to the Triveneto region; the wines are an expression of gravelly soils and a microclimate tempered by the Adriatic and sheltered by the mountains to the north.
