The Passito Rosso del Veneto IGT "Madoro" in 375ml format by Maculan is a true oenological gem, the result of the expertise and passion of one of the most renowned wineries in the Veneto. This sweet wine, obtained from dried grapes, represents excellence in the production of dessert wines, a tradition that Maculan interprets with mastery, offering a product of extraordinary complexity and richness.

"Madoro" is mainly produced from Marzemino and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, chosen for their ability to concentrate sugars and aromas during drying, a process which involves drying the grapes for a few months in order to intensify their organoleptic characteristics. Fermentation and aging in small oak barrels add layers of complexity, harmoniously blending fruity and spicy profiles with toasted and vanilla notes resulting from aging.

Visually, "Madoro" stands out for its intense and deep red color, with amber reflections that reveal its richness. On the nose, the wine explodes in an intense aromatic bouquet, with dominant notes of ripe red fruit, such as plums and blackberries, enriched by nuances of chocolate, coffee, sweet spices and a light balsamic touch, creating an enveloping and seductive olfactory experience.

In the mouth, the wine surprises with its balanced sweetness, supported by good acidity which maintains its freshness and agility. The rich flavors of ripe fruit intertwine with notes of dark chocolate, spices and vanilla, in a complex and layered palate that flows into a long and persistent finish, marked by a pleasant mineral vein.

Ideal as a meditation wine or paired with rich desserts, chocolate and mature cheeses, "Madoro" is also a perfect companion to close a special dinner, offering a unique and memorable tasting experience.

In conclusion, Maculan's Passito Rosso del Veneto IGT "Madoro" is a wine that enhances the art of passito winemaking, demonstrating how tradition can meet innovation to create a product of extraordinary beauty and depth, which reflects the commitment of the Maculan winery in producing wines of the highest level, capable of exciting and surprising wine lovers from all over the world.

Commitment to innovation and experimental projects.
Winery history
The winery originated from the Maculan family's winemaking activities in Breganze. The current estate was developed from the business founded by grandfather Giovanni Maculan in 1947. In the 1970s Fausto Maculan led a qualitative transformation of the estate, elevating local wines such as Torcolato and expanding the portfolio with modern expressions of red and white wines. Today management also involves his daughters, continuing a path that combines local tradition with winemaking innovation.
Production philosophy
The winemaking approach combines respect for the territory with experimentation: meticulous care in the vineyard and the cellar, revival of local traditions and attention to modern techniques. The estate emphasizes the identity of Breganze grapes while also using international varieties for a wide range of wine styles.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located in the DOC Breganze area, on the hills at the foot of the Altopiano di Asiago. The area is characterized by microclimates favorable to ripening and by hillside aspects that influence production, particularly of passito wines made from Vespaiola.
