Brentino - 375ml - Maculan is a red wine produced by the Maculan winery, a renowned winery located in the heart of Veneto, Italy. This company, known for the production of high quality wines ranging from Venetian classics to innovative interpretations of international vines, has established with Brentino an example of how it is possible to combine tradition and modernity in winemaking.

Brentino is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, two vines that find in the Veneto region an ideal terroir to best express themselves, thanks to the temperate climate and well-drained soils that characterize the area. The choice to offer this wine in 375ml format responds to the growing demand for smaller bottles, ideal for those who want to enjoy a good glass of wine without having to open a whole bottle.

The vinification of Brentino involves traditional fermentation in steel, followed by a period of maturation in barrique which gives the wine complexity, roundness and an elegant balance between fruit and structure. The result is a medium-bodied red wine, with a pleasant freshness and soft tannins that make it accessible and enjoyable from the first years of life.

At sight, Brentino has an intense ruby red color. On the nose, the wine offers an aromatic bouquet composed of notes of ripe red and black fruits, enriched by nuances of sweet spices and a light touch of vanilla resulting from aging in wood. In the mouth, the flavors are well balanced, with a good structure supported by a lively acidity which leads to a persistent and pleasantly harmonious finish.

Ideal in combination with a wide range of dishes, from risotto with mushrooms, to red meats and medium-aged cheeses, the Brentino - 375ml - Maculan represents a versatile choice for different occasions, from informal dinners to aperitifs, offering an experience tasting that reflects the excellence and winemaking passion of the Maculan family.

Winery history
The winery originated from the Maculan family's winemaking activities in Breganze. The current estate was developed from the business founded by grandfather Giovanni Maculan in 1947. In the 1970s Fausto Maculan led a qualitative transformation of the estate, elevating local wines such as Torcolato and expanding the portfolio with modern expressions of red and white wines. Today management also involves his daughters, continuing a path that combines local tradition with winemaking innovation.
Production philosophy
The winemaking approach combines respect for the territory with experimentation: meticulous care in the vineyard and the cellar, revival of local traditions and attention to modern techniques. The estate emphasizes the identity of Breganze grapes while also using international varieties for a wide range of wine styles.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located in the DOC Breganze area, on the hills at the foot of the Altopiano di Asiago. The area is characterized by microclimates favorable to ripening and by hillside aspects that influence production, particularly of passito wines made from Vespaiola.
