Barbera d'Alba DOC Superiore by Livia Fontana is a wine that expresses with elegance and strength the distinctive character of the Barbera vine, enriched by refinement that enhances its complexity and structure. Coming from the fertile hills of the Langhe, in the heart of Piedmont, this wine is the result of the passion and commitment of the Fontana family, who for generations has dedicated itself to the production of high quality wines, testifying to the love for their territory and for the Piedmontese winemaking tradition.

Barbera d'Alba DOC Superiore stands out for its intense ruby red color, with reflections tending towards purple, indicative of its richness. On the nose, it offers a complex and seductive bouquet, with notes of ripe fruit, such as cherries and plums, together with nuances of spices, vanilla and chocolate, the result of the elegant passage in wood which adds depth without overpowering the freshness of the vine.

In the mouth, the wine is rich and full, with a perfect balance between the characteristic acidity of Barbera and a tannic softness that supports drinking. The aromatic complexity translates into a pleasant tasting persistence, with a long and harmonious finish that invites subsequent tasting.

Ideal in combination with structured and tasty dishes, such as red meats, mushroom-based dishes, mature cheeses and traditional Piedmontese preparations, Livia Fontana's Barbera d'Alba DOC Superiore is also an excellent meditation wine, capable of evolving and reveal new nuances as time passes.
