There are those who tell the story, the tradition and the passion with words; Cantina Librandi has chosen to do it through wine. In Cirò, a magnificent corner of Calabria, hard wines are born with a history behind them; it is here that Duca San Felice, the best Gaglioppo, is born, coming from old sapling-trained vines of the Cirò DOC.
The harvest takes place in the first ten days of October. The vinification is in thermo-conditioned steel, with maceration for 7-10 days. The refinement in steel, where it rests for two years, with a stay in the bottle for a few months before being put on the market.
A wine that has a dark ruby red color with garnet reflections in the glass. The nose is totally seduced by the intense and rich spicy aroma of cinnamon. A harmonious and velvety red of excellent drinkability, with hints of tobacco and liquorice that persist on the palate until the end. A glass that is excellent at the table in combination with meat, game, roasts and first courses with sauces that are not too seasoned.
