“Mamaioa” is made exclusively from certified organic Vermentino grapes. On the label there is a ladybug, symbol of organic agricultural production, the name of this bottle in fact owes its origin to the Sardinian expression that evokes this word.
After the harvest, there is a soft pressing of the grapes, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature between 16°-18C. Once vinification is complete, "Mamaioa" matures in steel and vitrified concrete tanks for a few months before bottling and aging in the bottle for another short period.
Pale straw yellow colour, with greenish reflections, "Mamaioa" offers delicate floral hints of acacia and honeysuckle to the nose, mixed with fruity aromas of rennet apple and aromatic nuances of thyme and marjoram.
From the first sip it proves to be a fresh and mineral wine, with a pleasant structure and softness. Perfect for an aperitif, but also excellent in combination with fish-based dishes and first courses seasoned with delicate sauces.
