From the pulsating heart of native Sicilian vines, comes the refined Etna Rosso DOC "Ripiddu," masterfully produced by the Filippo Grasso winery. This wine embodies the essence of Mount Etna, the active volcano that provides a unique and unmistakable terroir.
The varietal composition of "Ripiddu" is predominantly Nerello Mascalese, complemented by a small percentage of Nerello Cappuccio, vines that find in the coolness and mineral soils of Mount Etna the ideal terrain to express themselves best. The winemaking process follows traditional methods, promoting maturation in oak barrels that do not overpower but enhance the natural qualities of the grapes.
Visually, the wine has an intense ruby red color with garnet highlights. On the nose, a complex and seductive bouquet emerges, characterized by notes of small red fruits, delicate spices, and a slight touch of tobacco and chocolate, the result of elegant wood aging.
On the palate, Filippo Grasso's Etna Rosso DOC "Ripiddu" offers a well-balanced tannic texture and lively freshness, typical of Etna wines, which come together in an elegant and persistent structure.
