The Barolo DOCG "Castellero" by Brezza is a refined and intense expression of the Nebbiolo grape, grown in the prestigious Castellero area, in the heart of the Barolo territory. The Brezza winery, located in Barolo and with a long history dating back to 1885, is committed to the production of wines that faithfully reflect the terroir and uniqueness of each individual vineyard, following sustainable viticulture practices and a careful and respectful approach in the cellar .

Barolo "Castellero" has a deep garnet red color, which tends to acquire orange shades over time. On the nose, this wine reveals a complex and inviting bouquet, with notes of cherry and ripe red fruits, enriched by nuances of rose, violet, spices and a light touch of tobacco, typical of high quality Barolos.

In the mouth, the "Castellero" offers a solid and at the same time elegant structure, with fine and well-integrated tannins that contribute to a velvety texture. The acidity is well balanced, supporting a dynamic and harmonious sip, which evolves towards a long and persistent finish, with an aftertaste that recalls the olfactory notes and adds a pleasant minerality.

Ideal in combination with Piedmontese cuisine, such as red meats, truffle-based dishes and mature cheeses, Brezza's Barolo "Castellero" is also a wine that benefits from long aging, during which it can develop further aromatic nuances and taste.

Winery history
The Brezza family has owned vineyards in Barolo since 1885; the company name comes from Giacomo Brezza and the first documented bottling dates to the early 20th century. The business has remained family-run and has developed by preserving the historic cellars while combining tradition with some technological interventions in winemaking.
Production philosophy
Enhancing the crus and the Langhe territory, prioritizing winemaking that respects the grapes' characteristics: a traditional approach for the great reds and stainless-steel vinification for the fresher styles. Cultivation is oriented toward organic farming, as evidenced by the company's certification.
Terroir and vineyards
The winery is located in the municipality of Barolo, Piedmont. Its estate vineyards include parcels within the MGA of Cannubi, Castellero and Sarmassa; there are also vineyard plots in other municipalities of the Langhe such as Monforte d'Alba, Novello and in the area between Alba and Diano d'Alba.
