The Busnel Fine Calvados is a high-quality apple cider distillate, produced in the historic region of Normandy in France, an area renowned for its exceptional apples and long tradition in the production of calvados. This particular calvados is distilled twice, a process that enhances its purity and the complexity of its aromas.

In a 70cl bottle, the Busnel Fine Calvados presents itself with a light amber color, a result of its aging in French oak barrels. On the nose, it emits intense scents of baked apple, vanilla, and light spicy notes that blend into a harmonious and enveloping bouquet. The tasting reveals an elegant and well-balanced structure: the entry on the palate is smooth, followed by a lively fruity freshness that evokes green apple and caramel, with a slightly spicy aftertaste due to the aging in wood.

This Calvados is ideal to be enjoyed neat, as a digestif, or as an ingredient in sophisticated cocktails that desire a unique and distinctive touch. Perfect also as an accompaniment to fruit-based desserts or aged cheeses, the Busnel Fine Calvados offers an extraordinary expression of Norman tradition and terroir.

Each bottle represents an expression of quality and tradition, making it an excellent gift for spirit lovers or a refined addition to any connoisseur’s collection.

Distillation

For Calvados Pays d'Auge the copper pot still with repasse and double distillation (first for the brouillis, then for the calvados) is employed; the column still is used for other types of Calvados/AOC. Distillation generally takes place between January and June after a natural fermentation of the cider.

Ageing

Aging in oak barrels in cool, dark cellars; the maître de chai carries out blending to balance different eaux‑de‑vie and occasional finishings/finishes in casks of other wines or spirits are used (e.g. whisky, Sauternes, Port).
