The Chardonnay DOC from Colli Orientali del Friuli by Livio Felluga presents as a restrained white wine, favoring balance and clear aromatics. In the glass it shows a straw-yellow color with bright highlights. On the nose it offers a composed bouquet: notes of Golden apple, ripe pear and citrus hints, accompanied by light floral nuances and a touch of minerality that adds clarity. It is not exuberant; the overall impression is one of precision and aromatic definition. It emphasizes fruit clarity and freshness without excess.

On the palate the freshness is confirmed, with well-balanced acidity and a medium body that supports the fruit without overpowering it. The finish is pleasant and linear, suitable for youthful drinking as well as pairing with everyday dishes. It pairs naturally with seafood starters, baked fish, delicate pasta and white meats, as well as with fresh, moderately aged cheeses. Recommended serving temperature around 10–12 °C. Also suitable for informal aperitifs.

Winery history
Founded by Livio Felluga in 1956 after the post‑war rebuilding; Livio is regarded as the 'patriarch' of Friulian winemaking (he died in the night between Dec 21–22, 2016). The estate is family‑run (children Maurizio, Filippo, Elda and Andrea). The wine 'Illivio' was created by his children in 1998 and dedicated to him for his 85th birthday.
Production philosophy
Terroir-focused approach: careful vineyard work, respect for the territory (Rosazzo) and pursuit of quality. The 'Carta Geografica' serves as a manifesto of regional identity; wines are elegant, age-worthy and strongly expressive of place.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards located on the Rosazzo ridge and in the Colli Orientali del Friuli (province of Gorizia). Soils listed in technical sheets: marl and sandstone flysch of Eocene origin.
Awards and recognitions
